My work delves into the intricacies of the human experience, serving as a tactile exploration between the tangible and intangible. It explores the relationships we establish with the spaces we inhabit and the objects that occupy them. I understand this subject-object relationship as inherently causal, where we project onto these objects, and in turn, they shape and influence our identities, behaviors, and memories. Language and meaning play a pivotal role in shaping our experiences, and as a result, they feature prominently in my work.
At the core of my artistic practice lies the no- tion of process. Process not only serves as a methodology but becomes the very essence of my work. I am drawn to themes that are processual in nature, such as identity, memory, grief, and the passage of time. It is the glitches, errors, or moments of collapse within these processes that I find particularly intriguing. I perceive these instances of instability and disruption as opportunities, as they allow for the deconstruction, fragmentation, and subsequent reconstruction of ideas and forms, giving rise to new possibilities.
With this interest in process and its transitory character, comes a simultaneous need for its documentation. It gives rise to a search for forms of representation where both the record and the object become works themselves.
